Yoga for Pregnancy

Beautiful, Blissful Birth

Practicing Yoga is particularly helpful during pregnancy and Childbirth as it helps to improve your breathing and aids in deep relaxation along with helping to improve your posture and prevent or ease backache.

Yoga for pregnancy can play a key role in enhancing your experience during this precious time and empower the mother to be to have the most conscious birth experience.

Yoga can help women enjoy their pregnancy with minimal discomfort, cultivate breath awareness and strengthen the body in preparation for Labour. Yoga for pregnancy classes differ from general yoga classes as we awaken the deep feminine energy within us all cultivating ways of listening to our bodies and deeply connecting with the baby. Through the practice of moving meditations, visualisations and affirmations confidence increases.
Each week we practice ways of managing many common issues that you may be experiencing:-
  • sciatica
  • insomnia
  • lower back pain
  • improved circulation and lymphatic drainage
  • aides relaxation and reduce stress

As well as ways of preparing for your Birth day this includes active and passive postures that encourage optimal foetal positioning of the baby. You can start attending classes from 14 weeks, or arrange a private class before that and continue throughout your entire pregnancy.

Lotus bud Yoga for pregnancy classes are suitable for all expectant mothers, regardless of how you plan to birth your baby.

Zoom Classes

These are live online classes with support
during your pregnancy.
Monday 7.30pm
(online classes are between 75 - 90 minutes)

5 week block of weekly classes (one per week) £60
*Any missed face to face classes can be caught up with an online zoom class

"Just a quick note to say how useful I’ve found the lotus bud yoga - it’s given me the confidence to prepare practically for active labour in a very supportive environment. In particular, I am not sure I would have got use out of the birthing ball at home ahead of labour without your gentle direction and encouragement.

My baby was breech fairly late in my pregnancy and although the spinning babies website is easy to understand, I found the techniques they espouse quite intimidating to try alone - you have given me the confidence to do them both in your class and at home.

I have been suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome connected to my pregnancy, and the Shiatsu massage gave noticeable relief from both the pain and the poor grip - I would recommend it highly to others."
